When I choose a video background and the software crash.  I can't get it to run again.  What can I do to get it to run again?

If the background video prevents the software from running.  The easiest is to rename the video file or move it to a different location.  Run Walaoke again.  It will use the default video.  Then you can go back to setup and choose another video.
